The Countdown To TNA Genesis Pre-Show opens up with Gia Miller welcoming everyone to the show. Frankie Kazarian and TNA World Champion Mike Santana are then shown entering the venue. Nic Nemeth is then shown walking in the back. Gia Miller then reveals the pre-show panel of Dave LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer and Ash By Elegance as they will discuss the show tonight.

The panel then talks about the setup for The Texas Death Match tonight. We then get a video package for The Hardys vs. The Righteous TNA World Tag Team Title Match and some discussion from the panel.

We then get a video package for the Knockouts World Title Match and some discussion from the panel.

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt then welcomes us to the pre-show. Hannifan then plugs the Genesis merch and their electrolyte drink sponsor. Hannifan then hypes the pre-show match Stacks vs. Eric Young vs. BDE vs. KJ Orso. Hannifan notes that KJ Orso is the former Fuego Del Sol.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the pre-show.

TNA International Championship 4-Way Match: NXT’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo (c) vs. “The World-Class Maniac” Eric Young vs. BDE vs. KJ Orso

The match starts off with Stacks jumping Orso. Stacks and Orso then brawls in the ring while Young and BDE brawls at ringside. Orso then hits Stacks with a diving rana and a crossbody in the corner. Orso then hits Stacks with an inverted Angle Slam for a near fall. Stacks then reverses Orso into a lawn dart into the buckle. Orso then uses a hurricanrana to dump Stacks and himself to ringside.

Eric Young is then arguing with fans, which allows BDE to blindside him and film it on Instagram. While BDE distracts himself, Stacks attacks BDE. Grace and Stacks then uses BDE’s phone to steal his stream. BDE then hits Stacks with a Suicide Dive. Orso then hits Young with a Flip Dive. Orso and BDE then hit their opponents with Ten Punches in the Corner. The heels then come back with clotheslines for a breather.

Young and Stacks then work on Orso and BDE with methodical offense. BDE then rallies with right hands and hits Stacks with a Codebreaker. BDE then hits Young with a running knee. Orso then hits BDE with a cutter on the rope. Orso then hits Stacks with a Hurricanrana and a jump up double stomp. Orso then hits BDE with the Orso Driver for a near fall. Stacks then hits Orso with a running uppercut and a twisting neckbreaker. BDE then hits Stacks with a Cody Cutter. Young then hit sBDE with a wheelbarrow neckbreaker. Young then hits Orso with a Pile Driver. Stacks then tosses Young away and steals Young’s pin on Orso for the win.

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva places the title on Stack’s shoulder.

We then see Santino Marella and Daria Rae watching the match backstage and Santino is angry that his future Son in Law won. Daria then tells Santino that Stacks proved he belongs and they need to be fair as authority figures.

Gia Miller then brings up Leon Slater’s visa issues and Joe Hendry being his replacement in Slater’s match.

We then get a video package on Eddie Edwards vs. JDC for tonight.

The Personal Concierge then brings out The Elegance Brand to match the next match and we get the entrances of the final match of the pre-show.

Tag Team Match: “The Undeniable Diamond” Tessa Blanchard and Mila Moore vs. Vicious Vicki Venuto and Indi Hartwell

The match starts off with Venuto and Blanchard. Venuto gets Blanchard with a roll up and works over her arm. Hartwell then tags in and hits a suplex. Hartwell then hits a big boot and Venuto covers Blanchard for a two count. Blanchard then corners her and nails Venuto with a series of kicks. Moore then tags in and continues the stomping. She then begins working over the back of Venuto’s leg. Blanchard and Moore then tags in and out, working her over. Blanchard then stomps on her arm and keeps working on the leg. Venuto is then beaten down for some time. Venuto then tries to fight her way out, but is cut off again by Blanchard.

Hartwell then gets the tag and battles Blanchard. Moore then interferes and is hit with a spinebuster. Venuto then tags in and goes to the top, but Robert Stone distracts the referee, allowing Victoria Crawford to knock her off the top. Hartwell then goes after her, getting into it with The Elegance Brand. They then prevented her from returning to the ring. Blanchard then hits Venuto with a DDT for the win.

The panel then discusses the lineup for the Genesis PPV and they hype the Ryan Nemeth vs. Mara Sadè Match. Dreamer then reiterates that Ash’s career is over and she will make a good commentator. TNA Genesis Results (1/17/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights

TNA Genesis opens up with McKenzie Mitchell in the ring and she introduces singer Romeo Vaughn, who sings the National Anthem. Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt then welcomes us to the show and we get a highlight package of the TNA iMPACT on AMC premiere.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the PPV.

Singles Match: AJ Francis vs. Rich Swann

The match starts off with Swann going fast and he hits a rana and some offense into the corner. He then beats Francis with a series of rights in the corner and nails several kicks before clotheslining Francis over the top rope and to the floor. Swann then goes for a dive, but is caught. He then escapes a chokeslam on the apron and hits a springboard flip to the floor onto Francis. Back in the ring, Swann hits a series of kicks before being swatted out of the air and to the mat. Francis then chokes Swann against the ropes. Swann then tries to fire up with right hands, but is caught leaping off the buckles. Francis then press slams Swann across the ring.

Francis then nails a running knee to the face, while Swann is down in the corner. He then pulls Swann to the floor and chokes him against the ring steps. Swann then tries to block a chokeslam and nails several kicks. He is then thrown over the top rope and to the floor. Swann is almost counted out, but he returns at the very last moment to the ring. Swann then makes a comeback and hits a 450 splash off the top for a two count. He then goes back to the top, but is caught and tossed by Francis. Francis then goes to the ropes to hit some move, but Swann slips underneath and goes for a powerbomb.

Francis then stops him and goes for a superplex. Swann then bites him in the arm to stop it and shoves Francis off, sending him crashing to the mat. Swann then comes off the top, but is smashed down by Francis. Francis then goes for a powerbomb. He then teases a Styles Clash, but Swann slips out and hits a Code Red. Swann is then cut off and Francis hits him with a down payment for the win.

Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt then runs down the PPV lineup.

We then see the highlights of Mike Santana winning the TNA World Title on iMPACT. TNA World Champion Mike Santana is then interviewed by Gia Miller and he says he wanted to shout out to everyone after he won the title. Santana then says the most important call was from his daughter. Santana then says he is going to continue to show why he’s the best.

Singles Match: Elijah vs. Order 4’s Mustafa Ali

The match starts off with Elijah being attacked, but he outsmarts The Great hands on the floor. He then works over Ali on the floor and sends him back into the ring. The Great Hands then try to interfere again, but they were taken down. This then allows Ali to nail Elijah from behind with a tope. He then works over Elijah in the ring, slamming him over and over again. Ali then hits a standing moonsault on Elijah for a two count. Ali then works over Elijah’s arm.

Ali then hits a rolling cutter. He then goes for another moonsault, but he is kicked off by Elijah. Elijah then makes a comeback and hits several right hands. He then goes for a powerbomb, but Ali blocks him. Elijah then hits him with a right hand and a leaping knee and covers him for a two count. Ali then catches Elijah and hits him with a DVD for a two count. Ali then goes to the top, but Elijah moves out of the way and catches him with a tombstone piledriver. Ali then escapes the pin attempt, but collapses.

Elijah and Ali then battle to the top. The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz then saves Ali, who hits a dropkick. Elijah then catches him and hits a sit-out powerbomb. He then covers Ali, but Agent Zero pulls the referee out of the ring. The referee then tosses everyone from ringside. Steelz then nails Elijah from behind as he was going for a tombstone, allowing Ali to score the win.

The match starts off with both men facing off in a friendly manner. JDC then tries to roll Edwards up for a two count. Edwards then claps for the effort. Both men then lock up again, trading holds as they grapple back and forth. Edwards then backs JDC into the corner, but JDC breaks free. JDC then grabs Edwards and puts him in a side headlock. Edwards then escapes and sends JDC into the ropes, but he is tackled down. JDC then hits Edwards with an armdrag takedown and puts him in an armbar. Edwards then sends JDC into the buckles and hits him with several chops.

JDC then makes a comeback, but is hit with a kick in the corner. Edwards then hits a top rope rana, but JDC rolls to the outside. Edwards then hits a tope suicida to the floor. Both men then battle on the floor, exchanging chops. JDC then slams Edwards on the apron. Both men then continue battling on the floor. Edwards’ arm is then slammed on the apron several times. JDC is then thrown back into the ring. He then hits Edwards with a series of chops. Both men then battle back and forth with clubbing shots. Edwards is then knocked to the floor. JDC then hits a flip dive to the floor.

Both men then battle back into the ring. Edwards then misses a charge in the corner and is hit in the back. JDC then drills Edwards to the mat for another two count. JDC then goes for a suplex, but Edwards escapes. Edwards is then caught with a DDT and a Falcon Arrow for a two count. Both men then continue to battle back and forth. Edwards then hits a spinning slam for a two count. Edwards then locks in a sleeper. JDC then comes back to lock in a Lion Tamer style Boston Crab. Edwards then battles his way out. Both men then battle back to the corner to the ropes. JDC then hits a Kryptonite Krunch off the ropes for a two count.

JDC then goes to the top for an Alabama Jam, but Edwards moves. Edwards then hits the Boston Knee Party for a two count. Edwards then scores several two counts. Edwards then hits a fisherman’s buster style suplex and another Boston Knee Party for the win.

After the match, Edwards embraces JDC on the mat and the rest of The System make their way to the ring to join in on the celebration. They all then raise each other’s arms as the roster comes out on stage clapping. JDC then kisses the mat for a long time. He is then left in the ring, where he applauds the crowd before leaving the ring. He then goes around the ring slapping hands and embracing the announcing team. He then goes to the stage, where the roster celebrates with him and he salutes the audience one more time.

We then get the TNA Genesis injury report presented by BIOFLEX and it is announced that Elijah is being evaluated, Steve Maclin is out and Matt and Jeff Hardy are not 100%, but they are cleared to compete.

We then see highlights of The Righteous and The Hardys’ recent interactions.

Intergender Match: The Nemeths’ “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth vs. Mara Sadé

The match starts off with a lock up and Ryan disrespectfully shoves Sadé in the corner. Sadé then jumps on his back for a sleeper, but she is pulled off. Ryan then locks on a side headlock, but he is shoved into the ropes. Sadé then goes for a hiptoss, but it is blocked and reversed. Ryan then showboats and celebrates on the floor. Sadé then hits a dive off the apron to take Ryan down. Sadé then tossed Ryan back into the ring, but he grabs her and slams her on the apron. Ryan then tries to cover Sadé with a boot on her, but she pulls her shoulder up.

Ryan then works her over, but Sadé makes her way to her feet. She then blocks a right and nails one of her own. Sadé then hits several dropkicks in the corner. She then hits a tornado DDT out of the corner for a two count. Ryan then uses the ropes to attempt to steal a pin, but Sadé escapes and hits a Sling Blade. Ryan then sends Sadé into the buckles and uses the ropes to hold her down for the win.

We then head to the back, where Stacks and Arianna Grande cut a promo. Grace says they stacked the odds against her man because her father made decisions with his emotions and not his brain. Stacks then says he shoved it right in Santino’s face. Grace then says Santino loses his daughter and the International title and he is about to lose his job to Daria Rae.

TNA Knockouts World Championship Match: Léi Yǐng Lee (c) vs. NXT’s ZARIA

The match starts off with both women facing off and locking up and they begin using their strength against each other, showing a lot of intensity before shoving off from each other and facing off again. ZARIA then catches Lee and goes for a slam, but Lee escapes. ZARIA then tackles Lee down to the mat. Lee then comes off the ropes, but is caught and slammed. ZARIA then goes for a slam, but Lee escapes and hits several knees and kicks. Lee then works her over with right hands in the corner. ZARIA then catches her and pulls Lee up with a choke in the corner.

ZARIA then drops her and covers Lee for a two count. ZARIA then hits a leaping elbow in the corner and nails Lee with a clothesline for a two count. ZARIA then cinches in a Sharpshooter variation. Lee then escapes, but is pulled up and slammed down. ZARIA then goes back to the Sharpshooter variation, trying to force a submission. Lee then makes a comeback and hits a series of right hands. ZARIA then goes for a big kick. Lee then avoids it and hits a T-Bone suplex for a two count. Lee then locks on a sleeper and climbs on top of ZARIA’s back. ZARIA then charges into the corner, flipping with Lee taking the brunt of the crash.

ZARIA then covers her for a two count. ZARIA and Lee then battle outside on the apron. ZARIA then slams her on the apron outside and they crashed to the floor. ZARIA then spears Lee and hits a TKO, but knocks the referee down as she turned. She then covers Lee, but there is no referee. Both women then tries to wake the referee. The Elegance Brand then runs down to the ring, but they are taken out.

The ref is still down. ZARIA then drags the referee up. Lee then dodges a spear and rolls up ZARIA for a two count. ZARIA then hits Lee with a headbutt. Lee then escapes a hangman in the corner. Lee then hits ZARIA with a Frankensteiner. ZARIA and Lee then trade right hands. ZARIA then hits Lee with a low kick. Lee then reverses ZARIA with a DDT. Lee then hits ZARIA with a high spin kick. Lee then hits ZARIA with Warrior’s Way for the win.

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva enters the ring to hand the Knockouts World Title to Lee. ZARIA and Lee then shake hands and embraces and Elayna Black makes her way out to the stage. Lee then tells Black to come for the title.

Nic Nemeth then cuts a promo about refereeing the main event, teasing he could cash in his title shot.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) (c) vs. The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch)

The match starts off with The Hardys cutting the ring in half on Vincent for the opening moments. The Hardys then hit Vincent with Poetry in Motion. Matt then hits Vincent with a Side Effect for a two count. Dutch then hits a clothesline on Matt. Vincent then uses the moment to recover. The Righteous then cuts the ring in half on Matt. Vincent then keeps yelling that he is sorry and the crowd chants “culero”.

Matt then hits Dutch with a Twist of Fate for a window of opportunity. Jeff then gets the hot tag and hit his signature hot tag sequence on Vincent. Jeff then bends Vincent’s back over hit knee. Dutch then breaks it up with a big boot. Matt then knocks Dutch off the apron. Matt then blind tags in. The Hardys then hit Vincent with a Plot Twist for a near fall by Matt. Dutch then trips up Matt while he was running.

Dutch then hits Matt with a modified Bossman Slam. Dutch then hits Matt with a Twist of Fate and Vincent hits Matt with a Twist of Fate. Jeff then drags Vincent off the pin. Vincent then sends Jeff into the ringpost. Matt and Vincent then take each other out with clotheslines. Dutch then crashes and burns as a big man when Jeff dodges his senton at ringside. Matt and Vincent then trade right hands. Vincent then begs Matt for mercy. Dutch then gets a mic and says this is exactly what they wanted, “to hurt”. A “shut the F**k” chant then ensues. Matt then hits Vincent with a Twist of Fate. Jeff then hits Vincent with a Swanton Bomb for the win.

After the match, Hannifan notes that Vincent was smiling. Dutch then takes the tag belts from TNA President Carlos Silva and politely gives them to the Hardys.

We then get a promo from Leon Slater apologizing that he isn’t there for reasons beyond his and the company’s control. He then thanks Joe Hendry for stepping in for him.

Three-Way Match: “Prime” Cedric Alexander vs. The System’s Moose vs. NXT’s Joe Hendry

The match starts off with Hendry clearing Alexander and Moose from the ring. Hendry then power bombs his opponents on the apron. Alexander then hits Joe with a Suicide Dive. Joe then backdrops Moose on the steps for a high bump. Medics then run out to check on Moose. Carlos Silva then goes to check on Moose. The match then pauses for a few minutes. Joe and Alexander then continue. Cedric then hits Joe with a German Suplex. Cedric then hits Joe with a low dropkick. Joe then comes back with an Angle Slam for a two count. Joe then catches Cedric out of the air. Alexander then gets a two count off an inside cradle and a Michinoku Driver. Joe and Cedric then take each other out with clotheslines. Moose then gets to his feet.

Moose then does his arm pumps when Alexander and Joe punches him. Moose then hits Cedric with a headbutt and Joe with a Uranage and Senton. Cedric then hits Moose with a kick. Moose then hits Cedric on the top rope with a drop kick. Moose then reverses a suplex into a chop. Moose then hits Joe with a Superplex. Joe then no sells it and hits him with a Suplex. Cedric then gets a two count off a Victory Roll. Cedric then rolls Moose into a Styles Clash for a near fall. Alexander then turns Moose inside out with a clothesline. Moose then hits Cedric out of midair with a Spear for a near fall. Moose then goes for a spear, but his back gives out on him. Alexander then hits Moose with a Lumbar Check. Joe then hits Cedric with a Uranage for the win.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella then makes his way out and cals out the pre-show panel to give their main event predictions. Santino, Ash, LaGreca and Miller predicts Santana. Daria Rae then cuts off Tommy Dreamer and makes her way out. Rae then fires up the crowd. Rae then calls Tommy “little Timmy” and says no one cares what he has to say. A “shut the F**k up” chant then starts. Rae then says to cut to the hype package.

TNA World Championship Texas Death Match (The Nemeths’ “The Wanted Man” Nic Nemeth will be the special guest referee): “The Realest” Mike Santana (c) vs. “The King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian

The match starts off with all three men staring each other down and fighting it out. Santana then hits a big kick, but gets caught on the ropes on the second. All three men then battle to the floor, where Kazarian tries to hit Santana with a chair. Santana then comes off the steps with a leaping clothesline. Kazarian is then cut near the ear and is bleeding. Santana then pulls out a table and places it in the ring. He then sets a chair up near Kazarian on the floor, diving off it onto Kazarian. He then covers Kazarian for a two count on the floor. They then battle into the crowd, where Santana works him over with right hands.

They then battle some more, where Kazarian tries to suplex Santana from an elevated area of the crowd to the floor. Kazarian is then shoved down. Santana then jumps off. They then battle to a backstage hallway, where Kazarian slams Santana into a garage door and hits him with a trash can. They then battled back to the ringside area, where Santana is suplexed on the floor. They then battle with chairs on the floor. Kazarian then slams Santana across the back. Santana then slams Kazarian on the floor and pins him. Kazarian is nearly counted out, but he makes it to his feet before the count of ten.

Santana then goes for a powerbomb off the apron, but Kazarian grabs the ropes to save himself. He then sends Santana backwards into the ring post and hits a big boot. Kazarian then hits a cutter off the apron through the table and covers Santana for a three count. Santana is then nearly counted out, but he makes it to his feet before the count of ten, only to be sent into the ring posts by a Kazarian leaping knee to the back. The crowd then chants, “F**k you Frankie.”

Kazarian then sets up a table in the ring and pulls a ladder out from under the ring. Santana then pulls a barbed wire bat out from under the ring. He then charges at Kazarian, who avoids it and goes for the chicken wing. Santana then escapes it and hits him with the bat, busting him open. He then hits a Michinoku Driver and points to the table. He then climbs the ladder and hits a splash through the table for a two count, but Kazarian pulls his shoulder up. The crowd turns on Nemeth for not counting three. Kazarian and Santana then hit clotheslines on each other in stereo. Kazarian then spit on Santana, so Santana wraps his arm with barbed wire and hits a Spin the Block with it, pinning Kazarian. Nemeth then begins counting down Kazarian, who fails to make it to his feet and Kazarian is counted out.

After the match, TNA President hands the TNA World Title to Santana. Nic Nemeth then raises the hand of Santana, then hits him with a danger zone. Nic then grabs the call your shot trophy and calls for a referee. As the referee heads to the ring, Santana takes out Nemeth with a spin the block. The referee never made the match official, so the call your shot doesn’t count as per commentary. Santana then holds the belt high as he has one foot on Nemeth. The credits are then shown on the screen as Santana celebrates and the Genesis PPV comes to a close.
