Thekla has some thoughts about wrestlers dating wrestlers, and she did not exactly keep things PG.

While speaking to Inside The Ring, Thekla was asked whether wrestlers dating other wrestlers is a good idea. She said it might make sense because wrestlers live strange lives, travel constantly, and are surrounded by people who understand the business. But she also joked that the locker room has its own complications.

“I think I’m not sure if it’s a good idea, per se. Everybody’s a good-looking and and horny from what I can tell really.”

When the host pressed her, Thekla explained that dating someone outside wrestling can be hard because normal people may not understand the lifestyle.

“So, but I think it’s a good idea in a way that it’s obviously it’s hard to probably date somebody who isn’t immersed in your world as we live very strange lives as professional wrestlers. So, I wouldn’t want to, you know, it’s hard to explain all that, all the travel and all the horniness.”

Then Thekla took the conversation in a different direction, calling out wrestlers who present themselves as scary or badass on television, only to post soft, glamorous wedding photos online.

“I know. I mean, but what I can tell you really what I think is a lot of very badass people, like as badass portrayed people on TV, become extremely lame when they post photos of themselves getting married in some cute little church in the middle of— on the beach in Italy or something. I think I find that whack as hell.”

Thekla made it clear she is not trying to control what anyone does privately. She just does not think wrestlers should post that kind of thing if it clashes with their image: “I don’t care what you do in your private life, but I wouldn’t, as a professional, I wouldn’t post that s***.”

So yeah, Thekla is not against wrestlers falling in love. She just does not want the supposed killers and monsters of wrestling turning into honeymoon influencers on Instagram.

What do you think about Thekla’s take on wrestlers posting romantic wedding content? Is she right about protecting the character, or should wrestlers post whatever they want? Leave your feedback below.
