Thekla took things to another level on AEW Dynamite this week, and the commentary team had to apologize after what happened.

During the June 3 episode from Richmond, Virginia, Triangle of Madness came to the ring, with Thekla joined by Julia Hart and Skye Blue. The segment quickly turned into a direct shot at STARDOM as Thekla grabbed the microphone and made it clear she had no respect for the promotion.

Things escalated when Thekla climbed near the big screen in front of the Forbidden Door graphic. She then spit on the STARDOM sign and flipped it off, creating one of the most disrespectful moments of the show.

The moment was enough for the AEW announcers to apologize on commentary after it happened. Even with Thekla leaning into her heel role, spitting on the STARDOM sign and flipping it off clearly pushed the segment into more controversial territory.

The segment came as AEW continues building toward Forbidden Door, with STARDOM’s involvement part of the larger cross-promotional setup. Thekla made sure her message was loud and clear, and she did it in a way that forced the broadcast team to address it.

Thekla’s actions added serious heat to her issue with STARDOM and made it clear she is not trying to show respect to anyone connected to the promotion. Now fans will have to wait and see whether STARDOM talent responds after being disrespected like that on AEW television.

What did you think about AEW announcers apologizing after Thekla spit on the STARDOM sign and flipped it off during Dynamite? Did the segment go too far, or was it the right kind of heat for Thekla? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
