Tara Zep has already spoken with Violent J about possibly joining Juggalo Championship Wrestling, but her immigration paperwork remains the biggest thing standing in the way.
During a conversation on Jasmine St. Claire’s Off The Rails podcast, Zep was asked whether she had discussed working JCW dates with Violent J. She confirmed that the talks have been going on since around the time she became involved with Facade.
“We’ve talked a lot about it over the last—basically since I’ve been with Michael, with Facade. We’ve talked about it, but it’s just, again, one of those things. I can’t guarantee monthly travel in and out of the States until I get my paperwork.”
Zep said she will not accept regular American dates unless she knows she can legally make every appearance. She has no interest in risking her future in wrestling by promising bookings that her visa situation may prevent her from fulfilling.
“There’s no point in being like, ‘Yeah, I can do these dates,’ and then saying, ‘I can’t actually guarantee that.’ It’s also too dangerous for me to be doing that shit. I just want to do things properly, honestly. My career, everything and my future are way too important to not do it legally. So, I’m going to do everything legally from now on.”
Even with that roadblock, Zep made it clear that Violent J has been supportive and sees her as a natural fit for the promotion.
“Jay has mentioned that I would fit in great, and he’s been really wonderful to talk to and communicate with about a potential future. I really hope that’s something that will happen for me. At the Gathering, I can come hang out and maybe chat with them and see what’s up. I’m really excited for that.”
Nothing has been finalized, but the interest is clearly there. Once Zep gets her paperwork handled, a future run with JCW looks like a real possibility instead of just fan speculation.
