Steve-O may have a history with WWE, but don’t expect the Jackass star to lace up his boots again.
While speaking to ClutchPoints, the Jackass star Steve-O made it clear that he has a ton of respect for pro wrestlers and doesn’t see what they do as some kind of stunt show
“Oh no, I don’t view any of the wrestling antics as child’s play. I mean, those guys are gnarly, man. And I think that increasingly over the years, the bar just gets higher and higher for the acrobatic feats.”
Steve-O famously got wrecked by Umaga on Monday Night RAW back in 2006 alongside Chris Pontius, and that seems to be enough wrestling for one lifetime as he doesn’t want to get involved in the business again.
“You’re likely aware of my featured match on Monday Night RAW where I went up against Umaga with Chris Pontius. That’s a bar that I don’t wanna mess with, man. I don’t want to try and outdo that.”
That means fans probably should not expect Steve-O to follow Johnny Knoxville back into WWE. Knoxville had his wild WrestleMania match with Sami Zayn, but Steve-O sounds perfectly fine letting his Umaga moment stand on its own.
There is also the health side of things. Steve-O has already put his body through enough with Jackass, and he admitted he has to be smarter now: “I gotta be a little careful with my body at this point.”
So at the end of the day, no Steve-O WWE comeback tour for now. He survived Umaga once, got the legendary RAW moment, and apparently has zero interest in testing fate again.
Would you want to see Steve-O return to WWE for one more match, or is he smart to leave that Umaga moment alone? Leave your feedback below.
