Stephen Amell isn’t ready to throw in the towel on Heels. During an appearance on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, the actor shared his hopes for continuing the wrestling drama that captured fans’ hearts before being canceled by Starz after its second season. With the show now streaming on Netflix, Amell believes a third season isn’t out of reach.

When asked about the possibility of Heels returning, Amell was optimistic, saying, “I think if there wasn’t a path to a third season, Netflix would have left it and let it collect cobwebs, dust—gather dust.”

Amell also touched on how his experience in the industry could play a role in reviving the series. “I would like to make more Heels, and I hope that my new show on NBC goes well, which would ironically probably lead to an easier path towards making more Heels… I can be a little more levelheaded and patient and appreciative, and have a bit more gratitude,” he said.

Fans of the wrestling-themed drama have been vocal about wanting closure after the show’s second season ended on a major cliffhanger. Now that Netflix has licensed the first two seasons, the door is open for a revival if viewership numbers meet expectations.
