WWE has loaded up the card for SummerSlam Saturday, but it looks like one match has officially been chosen to send fans home. While CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship seemed like the obvious choice to headline the show, that won’t be the case.
According to PWInsider, WWE has internally slated Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell to close out SummerSlam Saturday. If those plans hold, the blockbuster grudge match will go on after every other bout, including the Undisputed WWE Championship clash between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes.
Lesnar and Femi’s rivalry has become one of WWE’s biggest attractions after the Beast returned and attacked the King of the Ring winner before he could cash in his guaranteed world title opportunity. Rather than pursue championship gold, Femi chose revenge, setting up their violent showdown inside Hell in a Cell.
Saturday’s lineup is scheduled to feature:
- Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
- Hell in a Cell: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi (scheduled to close the show, per PWInsider)
- Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY
- GUNTHER vs. Nick Aldis
- LA Knight, Solo Sikoa & Royce Keyes vs. Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu
- Nikki Bella, Brie Bella & Paige vs. Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid & Fallon Henley
Of course, WWE can always make last-minute changes, but as things stand, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi are expected to have the final match of SummerSlam Saturday. Be sure to tune in live and follow along with Ringside News for full play-by-play coverage over in our WWE SummerSlam hub.
