Will Ospreay is expected to leave Wembley Stadium as the new AEW World Champion. Ospreay will challenge Kenny Omega for the title at AEW All In this Sunday, August 30, and the planned outcome appears to have been in place for months.
Fightful Selecct reports that Ospreay is expected to defeat Omega and capture the AEW World Championship. The outlet noted that AEW had discussed putting the title on Ospreay even before he returned to the ring.
“Not a big surprise here, but Will Ospreay is expected to win the AEW World Championship, which has been discussed for most of this year, even before his return to the ring.”
This would give Ospreay his biggest AEW victory in front of his home-country fans at Wembley Stadium. He and Omega have already produced major matches together, but this will be their first battle with the AEW World Championship at stake.
Ospreay may not be the only person in his household leaving All In with gold. Alex Windsor will team with Jamie Hayter to challenge Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships. Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Windsor revealed that she and Ospreay already have a celebration planned if they both win their championship matches.
“Probably just wear the belts around the house all day, put them in the fridge—that old tradition. So, I’m just really looking forward to hopefully being able to do that.”
That refrigerator celebration was made famous by CM Punk, who placed the WWE Championship inside his fridge after defeating John Cena at Money in the Bank 2011. Punk recreated the iconic photo in July 2026 after another championship victory in Chicago.
Plans can always change before the bell rings, but Ospreay is currently expected to defeat Omega and become AEW World Champion at All In. If Windsor also wins her match, their refrigerator could be packed with championship gold by the end of Sunday night.
