WWE’s early rundown for the October 2, 2026 episode of SmackDown has surfaced, and the company currently has a Women’s Money in the Bank qualifier lined up to kick off the show.
According to Viper Reports, the Women’s Money in the Bank Triple Threat Qualifying Match featuring Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae and Tatum Paxley is listed as the opening match of the evening.
As always with early WWE rundowns, plans can change right up until airtime. Matches can be moved around, segments can be reordered and the opening slot is never completely locked until the show actually goes live. If the current rundown holds, though, Stratton, LeRae and Paxley will be the first three wrestlers through the curtain at the Ball Arena in Denver.
The match is one of two final Money in the Bank qualifiers scheduled for the show. Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano are also set for a Triple Threat qualifier to determine the last entrant in the men’s ladder match. Giulia vs. Blake Monroe is also on the card after their backstage issues finally boiled over into a singles match.
So the current plan is pretty simple: start SmackDown with a high-stakes women’s qualifier and settle one of the final Money in the Bank spots immediately. Whether WWE sticks with that order all the way to 8 PM remains to be seen.
Ringside News will have full live play-by-play coverage of tonight’s show in our WWE SmackDown results section.
