WWE already has a loaded SmackDown planned for August 21, but fans now have an idea of how the show is expected to get started in Toronto.

According to TRNBCKL Gold, the early rundown for tonight’s episode has Sami Zayn scheduled to open the show with a segment.

Details about exactly what Zayn will be doing during the segment have not been revealed, but his appearance is currently positioned as the first piece of business when SmackDown goes live from the Scotiabank Arena.

It is worth noting that this comes from an early rundown for the show. WWE can make adjustments throughout the day and even while SmackDown is on the air, so the order and timing of segments could still change before the broadcast begins.

There is already plenty lined up for tonight. CM Punk is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens after Owens earned the opportunity at SummerSlam by winning a Fatal Four-Way number one contender match.

Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga will also put the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against Damian Priest and R-Truth after capturing the titles on last week’s SmackDown.

Blake Monroe is scheduled to make her main roster in-ring debut against Giulia, while Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are also advertised to appear ahead of their upcoming match at Sunday Night’s Main Event.

With Money in the Bank getting closer, WWE has several major stories to push forward tonight. As things currently stand, Sami Zayn will be the first Superstar fans see when the August 21 episode of SmackDown gets underway.

What do you think WWE has planned for Sami Zayn in the opening segment of SmackDown? Let us know your thoughts and feedback.
