The final Men’s Money in the Bank qualifier on the October 2, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown is set to come with some serious drama — and Randy Orton is right in the middle of it.
According to the show’s run sheet, Orton is planned to interfere in the main event and help decide which man gets the last ticket to Money in the Bank.
Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano are all set to battle for the final open spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. On paper, it’s every man for himself, but the planned finish suggests Cody is going to have another problem entirely.
The run sheet calls for Randy Orton to get involved during the closing stretch and distract Rhodes. That distraction is expected to take Cody out of position just long enough for Owens to make his move. Owens is then set to capitalize by pinning Johnny Gargano, which would officially put KO into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
That’s a pretty convenient outcome for everybody involved except Cody. Rhodes wouldn’t be taking the pin, Owens gets the victory, and Orton gets another chance to get under Cody’s skin after already beating him at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
If WWE sticks with what’s written on the run sheet, this main event won’t just be about filling the final ladder match spot. It’ll also keep the Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton situation moving forward while putting Kevin Owens one win away from holding one of WWE’s most dangerous weapons.
