Spoiler: Closing Match for 12/17 WWE NXT Revealed

The December 17 episode of WWE NXT is locked and loaded, and now we know what’s closing out the night.

Fightful Select reports that Trick Williams will defend his NXT Championship against Eddy Thorpe in the show’s main event, putting their heated rivalry under the brightest spotlight to cap off the evening.

Tensions between Williams and Thorpe have been at a boiling point since NXT Deadline, where Thorpe won the Iron Survivor Challenge and wasted no time calling Williams “undeserving” of the gold. Never one to back down, Williams accepted the challenge, determined to silence the critics and prove his reign is no fluke. Fans are eager to see whether Williams can hold his ground or if Thorpe will make good on his words and walk out as champion.

With Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe closing out the show, WWE is clearly setting the stage for a dramatic finish. One fan put it best on social media: “Feels like a big fight is about to go down. Trick vs. Thorpe for the NXT title closing the night? That’s how you do it.”
