It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! WWE NXT will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the December 17, 2024 episode.

WWE NXT Results (12/17/2024):

The show opens up with Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T welcoming us. We then see WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams arriving at the arena followed by the arrivals of “All Ego” Ethan Page and “The Young OG” Je’von Evans. We then get an intro video to introduce the venue of tonight’s show.

We then get a video recapping historic moments in the Lowell Memorial Auditorium followed by the hype for Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a Singles Match. Vic Joseph reminds the fans that Axiom will be doing double duty on tonight’s episode.

Singles Match: Fraxiom’s WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Axiom vs. 2024 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner “The Ruler of NXT” Oba Femi

The match starts off with both men locking up and circling each other. Axiom then does his best to flip and kick his way out of Femi’s attacks. Axiom then ducks Femi’s attacks, but gets tripped by Femi. Axiom then fights out of a hold by Femi. Femi then takes Axiom to the corner and chops him. Femi then places Axiom on the top rope, but Axiom fights back and hits a dive. Axiom then kicks Femi. Femi then hits a clothesline for a near fall. Axiom then comes back and staggers Femi. Axiom then looks for his Golden Ratio finisher, but Femi catches him and sends him across the ring. Femi then hits his Fall From Grace finisher for the win.

Vic Joseph then plugs Oba Femi going after the NXT Title in Los Angeles at the New Years Evil show.

We then head to the back, where Sarah Schreiber is interviewing Eddy Thorpe about his actions from last week. Thorpe brags about fooling everyone. Thorpe then says if someone else did what he did they will be praised as a genus, but everyone calls him a cheater. NXT General Manager Ava then confronts and berates Eddy Thorpe about what he did last week and says she can’t do anything due to the contract being signed. Thorpe then says Ava can call him whatever she wants, but after tonight, she’ll have to call him NXT Champion.

Sol Ruca and ZARIA then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night.

We then see the RAW on Netflix teaser featuring WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

We then get a video from this past weekend at the Performance Center, where Karmen Petrovic is asking Dion Lennox for some life advise. Lennox says he thinks that Ashante “Thee” Adonis was really looking out for her during her last match with Nikkita Lyons. Petrovic then says she tends to crash out, but she thinks Lennox is right and that she needs to apologize. Dion Lennox and Karmen Petrovic then shares a hug. Adonis then walks in and gets the wrong idea. Adonis then says he cut Nikkita off, but he’s going to text her now that Petrovic betrayed him. Adonis then walks off.

Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night.

Tag Team Match: Sol Ruca and ZARIA vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson)

The match starts off with Jakara Jackson attacking Sol Ruca as she is discussing with ZARIA who should start the bout. Ruca then recovers and immediately slams Jackson, then stands on her back like a surfboard. Jackson then keeps Sol from tagging out. Lash Legend then tags in and crushes Ruca for a near fall. Legend then tosses Ruca around. Ruca then nails Legend with a forearm. Ruca then hits Legend with a codebreaker. ZARIA then tags in and trades shoulder tackles with Legend. Legend then blocks a suplex and hits a body slam on ZARIA. ZARIA then ducks a body splash and tags in Sol Ruca. Ruca then hits Legend with a Pele kick and then nails Jackson with a superkick. ZARIA then picks up Jackson. Ruca then stands on Jackson and then dives onto Lash Legend. ZARIA then press slams Jackson from the ring and onto Legend. Jackson is dominating Ruca. Jackson then stretches Ruca, cutting her off from her partner. Ruca then starts to come back and nails Jackson with an Enzuigiri, but Jackson stops the tag. Ruca then hits a kick on Jackson and tags in ZARIA. ZARIA then tosses Jackson for a near fall. Legend then breaks up the pinfall. Legend and Jackson then get ZARIA’s attention. Legend then tags in and gets hit with a suplex. Ruca then tags in and hits a Springboard Splash for a near fall.  ZARIA is then sent out the ring and Jackson knocks her out. Legend then hits her finisher on Ruca for the win.

We then get a replay of last week’s match, where Tyriek Igwe and Tyson DuPont were looking dejected after their loss. DuPont asks Igwe why he was acting disrespectful, while Igwe was fired up. Wes Lee then shows up and says maybe DuPont needs to change the way he thinks. Lee then praises Igwe for the way he was thinking and fist bumps him.

Jaida Parker and the rest of OTM then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Wren Sinclair and the rest of the No Quarter Catch Crew follows.

Singles Match: OTM’s Jaida Parker vs. No Quarter Catch Crew’s Wren Sinclair

The match starts off with both women shoving each other. Parker then stops a takedown attempt from Sinclair. Sinclair then goes back on the offensive, but Parker fights her off and sends her to the corner. Sinclair then fights back and locks in a full nelson on Parker. Parker then gets a near fall on Sinclair. Sinclair then hits a neck snap on Parker for a near fall. A brawl then ensues between OTM and NQCC and they fight to the back. Sinclair then gets Parker back in the ring. Sinclair then rolls Parker up for a near fall. Parker then hits a spinning back elbow and follows it up with a sliding knee strike for the win.

Shotzi, Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley are then shown chatting backstage. They are talking about all being outcasts. Paxley then talks about Shotzi and Dolin saving her last week and how she doesn’t have to play by herself anymore. Dolin then says they have to take care of Fatal Influence first. Dolin then talks about how she knows Jacy Jayne is at her best with people flanking her. Paxley then says just like her dolls, she will rip their heads off. Shotzi then says dolls out balls out. Fatal Influence are then shown watching the segment from a monitor. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn then approaches them to trash talk. Dawn says she doesn’t see Fatal Influence have any unity. Fyre then says she sees turmoil. Fatal Influence then walks off.

Nathan Frazer is then shown trying to help Axiom recover from his last match in preparation for their title defense.

Vic Joseph then plugs the upcoming NXT and RAW shows in Los Angeles and Inglewood, California.

We then get a video package focusing on the NXT Women’s Division. The narrator mentions NXT having the best women’s division in pro wrestling. Paige, The Horsewomen, Asuka, Shayna, Raquel Rodriguez, Rhea Ripley, Mandy Rose and other past women’s champions were mentioned. The package then focuses on Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia.

Vic Joseph then plugs Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship at the New Years Evil show.

Gallus then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Nathan Frazer and Axiom follows.

WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) vs. Gallus (Wolfgang and Mark Coffey)

The match starts off with Axiom wanting to begin with Mark Coffey, but Nathan Frazer tells him to tag out and recover. Frazer then hits Coffey with an armdrag. Wolfgang then tags in. Coffey then hits Frazer from behind and Wolfgang follows it up with a knee to the face. Luca Crucifino and Stacks are then shown watching the action. Axiom then tags in. Axiom and Frazer then clear both Gallus members from the ring. Frazer then hits Coffey with a dive. Axiom then hits Joe Coffey with a Suicide Dive. Axiom then collapses due to his match with Oba Femi and Wolfgang hits him with a Uranage. Coffey then hits Frazer with a back suplex on the apron. Mark Coffey and Wolfgang then cut the ring in half on the injured Axiom. Axiom then manages to leap into the corner to tag in Frazer and Frazer hits Coffey with a clothesline and a Lionsault Death Drop. Frazer then sends Wolfgang to ringside. Frazer then hits Mark Coffey with a standing Shooting Star for a near fall. Frazer then hits Mark Coffey with a Slingblade and a Frogsplash. Wolfgang then breaks up Frazer’s pin. Wolfgang and Mark Coffey then hit Frazer with their Enzuigiri and Power Slam combo to give Wolfgang a near fall. Wolfgang then hits Frazer with a Swanton Bomb. Axiom then breaks up Wolfgang’s pin with a slingshot dropkick. Axiom then hits Mark Coffey with a Golden Ratio. Frazer then rolls up Wolfgang for a two. Frazer then puts Wolfgang in a Sleeper. Axiom then accidentally hits Frazer with a Golden Ratio to break the submission. Axiom then recovers and hits Mark Coffey with a Canadian Destroyer. Frazer then hits Wolfgang with a Poisonrana. Wolfgang then recovers and takes down Frazer with a right hand. Axiom then tags in. Frazer then hits Wolfgang at the top rope with a gamengiri. Axiom then hits Wolfgang with a Super Spanish Fly. Frazer then tags in. Axiom then hits The Coffey Brothers with a top rope Cannonball to ringside. Frazer then hits Wolfgang with a Phoenix Splash for the win.

We then head to the back, where Je’Von Evans is hyping up Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. Evans is then psyched up about all his accolades at his young age, like main eventing a PLE, challenging Randy Orton and meeting X-Pac. A depressed Ethan Page then shows up and interrupts them.

We then see Charlie Dempsey taking out a deck of cards in front of Lexis King and he says that the cards will lead them in their workouts. A training montage is then shown with subtitle graphics to show each workout King and Dempsey are doing. We then see that King has survived the workout. Dempsey and King then shakes hands and Dempsey agrees to give King a title shot next week for his NXT Heritage Cup.

Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is then speaking on the commentary desk and a depressed Ethan Page makes his way down to the ring to address the NXT Universe. Page says he deserves all the hate he’s getting. Page then says he doesn’t think anyone knows the journey he took to get here. Page then says he promised his daughter he’ll win the big one in NXT and he did. Page then says he did it faster than Kevin Owens. Page then says it took him years to keep his promise to his daughter. Page then says he did it for his daughter, son and wife. Page then says it’s fine for the crowd to boo because they paid for their ticket. Page then says he will talk to his wife, Viviana. Page then says without her there is no Ethan Page. Page even points out that it’s because of her that the crowd are having fun doing the “what” thing. Page then says that’s the problem, when he loses, he, his family and all of his supporters lose. Page then says when his daughter looks at his bag now or he sees videos of his son crying because he can win or he goes home and looks at his wife’s eyes in disappointment. Page then says all that is eating him alive. Page then says he lost his smile. Page then says they can all mock him for being emotional. Je’Von Evans then makes his way down to the ring. Evans says hearing people brag about themselves hurt. Evans then says Page came into NXT doing that, with a cocky ego. Evans then says that isn’t the real Ethan. Evans then says he saw the real Ethan Page at Heatwave. Evans then says it’s not what he did during the match, but after. Evans then says he looked at his family and told them right in the eyes “I love you”. Evans then says he was deadass right now and not everyone can do that. Evans then says Page showed his family a proud dad’s smile and a proud husband’s smile and the smile of a man who busted his ass for 18 long years to get to where he’s supposed to be. Evans then says Page deserves to be here and the fans know he’s supposed to be here. Evans then says they want to see the real Ethan Page. Evans then says he’s proud of Ethan, NXT is proud of Ethan and everyone is proud of Ethan. Page then says Evans is right and clear. Page then says he shouldn’t worry about losing his smile, but rather take away Je’von’s smile. Ethan then hits Evans with a right hand and then brings a chair in the ring. Ethan then wraps a chair around the neck of Evans. Ethan then yells you want the real me, this is the real me. Ethan then leg drops the chair on Je’von’s neck. Evans then spits out blood. Referees then check in on Evans to end the segment.

We then get a replay of the last segment, with added footage of Evans selling the blood falling out of his mouth. Vic Joseph says he thinks Je’von lost some teeth.

We then head to the back, where Sarah Schreiber is interviewing Trick Williams. Williams says he wished Evans well and then hypes his upcoming title defense. Oba Femi then shows up and says he hopes Trick wins so he can take the title from somebody. Trick then says he’s looking forward to defend his title.

We then get a subtitled Stephanie Vaquer promo. Vaquer talks about how she didn’t just become a luchadora overnight, she put in years of hard work. Vaquer then talks about Cora Jade signing with NXT first, meanwhile she traveled the world to become stronger. Vaquer then says she’ll end up being everything Cora wants to be. Vaquer then says she’ll take Cora to hell next week.

Eddy Thorpe then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and NXT Champion Trick Williams follows.

WWE NXT Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) vs. Eddy Thorpe

The match starts off with Trick Williams hitting Eddy Thorpe with shoulder tackles. Eddy then ducks to ringside. Trick then catches up with him and hits him with a few chops. Eddy then hits a crossbody on Williams. Williams then hits Eddy with a pop-up punch. Trick then hits Eddy with the Booker Crescent Kick for a two count. Eddy then pulls down the top rope to crotch Trick. Eddy then sends Trick to ringside. Eddy then continues working on Trick. Trick then slams Eddy to the mat. Trick then rallies back with right hands. Trick then hits Eddy with a Flapjack. Trick then hist Eddy with a Book End for a near fall. Eddy then escapes a fireman’s carry and hits Trick with a kick and German Suplex combo. Eddy then hits Trick with splits and follows it up with an elbow drop for a near fall. Eddy and Trick then trade right hands. Eddy and Trick then trade kicks to the head, but both men are still standing on their feet. Eddy then hits Trick with a backbreaker. Trick then hits Eddy with a Death Valley Driver. Eddy then reverses a pop up punch into an Impaler DDT, but took out the referee. A 2nd referee then makes his way out. Trick then rolls up Eddy for a two count. Eddy then hits Trick with a few Yakuza Kicks. Eddy then goes for a third kick, but gets hit with a Trick Shot. Trick then falls on Eddy for the pin and both referees counts the pin, but one of the referees is disputing the result.

After the match, both referees are arguing over who won the match. A replay is then shown that when Trick fell on Eddy, Trick’s shoulder’s hit the mat and Eddy gets a hand on top of Trick. NXT General Manager Ava then shows up to talk with the referees who both claimed different winners as the show comes to a close.
