It was noted via Dave Meltzer on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that the reason Kevin Owens dropped the United States Championship to Kevin Owens at Friday’s WWE Live Event at Madison Square Garden could have been due to injury. This doesn’t appear to be the case.
Kevin Owens actually worked Saturday’s WWE Live Event in a losing effort to AJ Styles in a triple threat match that also included Baron Corbin. It wouldn’t make much since for him to drop the Title due to injury and then continue to work the next night. So that should rule out the injury speculation.
