Snitsky isn’t holding his breath for a WWE Hall of Fame induction. While he’s grateful fans still believe he belongs there, the former WWE star thinks “certain people” currently in the company could keep it from ever happening.

Speaking on the It’s Not Our Fault podcast, Snitsky addressed the subject after a fan asked who they needed to contact to get both him and longtime WWE referee Mike Chioda into the Hall of Fame. Snitsky clearly appreciated the support, especially considering fans are still bringing up moments from his career all these years later.

“Well, thanks, Doug. I appreciate that. I’m flattered because, as a performer, that’s ultimately what you want to be remembered for — your stuff. And like I’ve said in the past on numerous podcasts and on our show, I’m so flattered and humbled by people still wanting to talk about punting babies and the clothesline of Paul London.”

Those two moments have definitely stuck around. Snitsky admitted he’s still surprised by just how much fans remember about his WWE run, especially when people approach him with specific moments he might not expect anyone to still be thinking about.

“There are just so many things people mention to me on a daily basis that just blow me away because it’s like, how do these people remember all this stuff?”

But when it comes to actually getting that Hall of Fame call, Snitsky doesn’t sound nearly as optimistic. He suggested there are people currently within WWE who could stand in the way of an induction, although he stopped short of naming anyone or explaining exactly what the problem is.

“Yeah. Just very, very flattered to be thought of on that level. But I doubt I’ll ever get to the Hall of Fame just because certain people that are there.”

Snitsky didn’t give any more clues about who those “certain people” might be, so there’s no way of knowing exactly what he was referring to. For now, he’s happy that fans still remember his WWE run, even if he doesn’t expect that nostalgia to eventually lead him into the Hall of Fame.

Who do you think Snitsky was referring to when he mentioned “certain people” in WWE, and would you put him in the Hall of Fame? Let us know in the comments below.
