WWE is already loading up next week’s show. During the August 24, 2026 episode of WWE RAW, several major additions were revealed for the August 31 episode, including a Women’s Intercontinental Championship match, the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament and the return of Roman Reigns.
Sol Ruca will get another opportunity at championship gold when she challenges Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
The match was announced backstage after Ruca’s recent win over Lyra Valkyria. Ruca made it clear she has her eyes on Rodriguez’s title, while Valkyria also expressed interest in getting another opportunity down the line.
The World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament will also reach its conclusion next week. Rey Fenix advanced to the finals by defeating Dragon Lee, while Penta secured the other spot by beating La Parka. That officially sets Penta vs. Rey Fenix for August 31, with the winner moving one step closer to the World Heavyweight Championship.
That won’t be the only major attraction, because Roman Reigns is also set to return to WWE RAW. Reigns has been at the center of the growing issues involving The Bloodline, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa, making his return especially interesting after everything that went down on the August 24 show.
The August 31 RAW lineup now includes Sol Ruca challenging Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Penta facing Rey Fenix in the World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Final and Roman Reigns making his return.
