Rusev isn’t here to foot the bill for a fan’s broken phone—and he’s making that crystal clear.
During a conversation with SHAK Wrestling, the former United States Champion addressed an incident from a May episode of WWE RAW where he appeared to knock a phone out of a fan’s hand during his entrance. Rusev didn’t hesitate to set the record straight, denying any damage was done—and reminding fans there are boundaries for a reason.
“I saw that I knocked somebody’s phone down, but it wasn’t broken. So if they’re trying to pay me for that, that’s not going to happen. I saw the phone was working. There was continuing footage, so I am not paying for that phone.”
He doubled down on the idea that fans need to respect performer space during entrances.
“Keep your hands to yourself, people. There’s a barricade for a reason, man. Stay on this side of it. And I’m a large man. My shoulders are pretty broad… sometimes I feel it. I have the energy and I go wild. I run out there. So keep your hands to yourself.”
The message is clear: Rusev brings the chaos during his entrance, but if you’re standing too close or reaching over the barricade, that’s on you—not him.
WWE superstars have long dealt with fans getting a little too close for comfort, but Rusev isn’t letting this one slide into his wallet. His response isn’t just firm—it’s a reminder that boundaries are there for everyone’s safety.
