The Ross Report Recap w/ Jason Powell – Discussing PWI 500, Build to No Mercy, Sexy Star’s Unprofessionalism, More!

Powell comments on Sexy Star taking liberties at a Triple A show last weekend. He says that this unprofessionalism will follow Star around for a while. She’s a talented performer but she’s not going to make or break your show, so he thinks it’s awfully easy for promoters to stay away from booking Star in the near future.

Ross thinks Asuka’s recent injury is a blessing in disguise because it gives WWE the ability to bring her to the main roster with her undefeated streak in tact. Powell agrees with that, but he wonders what the plan is for NXT’s Women’s Title moving forward. One option WWE has is to make the finals of the Mae Young Classic for the NXT Women’s Championship, but Ross doesn’t like that concept.

Ross wonders if we will see an MMA influence at WrestleMania this year, with the likes of Jon Jones, Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey making an appearance. Powell wonders if WWE would be interested in having Jones show up in WWE for WrestleMania, where he can challenge Brock Lesnar. He points out that Jones’ checkered past might prevent this from happening, but there’s no doubt it can be a very lucrative situation for WWE.
