The Ross Report Recap w/ Jason Powell – Discussing PWI 500, Build to No Mercy, Sexy Star’s Unprofessionalism, More!

Ross discusses the controversial situation that unfolded at the hand of Sexy Star this past week. He says that he has no idea what happened prior to or during this match, but there’s no excuse for taking advantage of your peers when they’re putting their trust in you during a match. Ross says that this situation is not going to go away quickly, and he’s interested to see how Sexy Star responds to this.

He thinks No Mercy is shaping up to be a fantastic card, and he thought Monday Night RAW’s promo segment featuring Roman Reigns and John Cena was one of the year’s best so far. This promo segment reminded Ross of the attitude era, and he was very impressed with the efforts of both men Monday night.

Ross welcomes ProWrestling.net’s Jason Powell to the show.

Powell says the first four episodes of the Mae Young Classic didn’t exceed his expectations, but they didn’t let him down either. Similar to the Cruiserweight Classic, he believes these initial episodes are more about introducing the talents and letting the viewers develop an emotional connection to them.

Ross says that he has received a lot of great reaction online thus far regarding the work of the women, as well as Ross’ commentary work and he says that was really special. He believes a portion of these women are going to get a break as a result of this tournament, and will get a look in WWE when all of this is said and done.
