Ronda Rousey’s relationship with Vince McMahon is well known, as she definitely didn’t like working with him at all. Unsurprisingly, Rousey has now revealed how McMahon would try to do sheisty carny things with her in WWE.
While speaking on The Lapsed Fan podcast, Ronda Rousey was asked if Vince McMahon ever said anything to her that made her stop and think, “what the f*** was that?”
Rousey explained that McMahon never really did, mostly because she didn’t care and also because he was too afraid to say anything directly to her face. She described him as more of a roundabout type knowing that if he said something straight to her, he’d get it right back, so instead he’d resort to what she called “sheisty carny s***.
Rousey compared the experience to working with Dana White, who she said was always straightforward and direct. Vince McMahon, on the other hand, would say whatever he needed just to get her out of the room and then turn around and do something sneaky, which left her frustrated. For her, working with someone who isn’t direct or honest was something she simply couldn’t deal with.
“No, I just kinda didn’t give a f***. He was too scared to say anything to my face, you know? He was like a roundabout d***. I think if he actually said some s*** to my face, he’d get it back and he knew that, so it was more like sheisty carny s***.
I was used to working with Dana, who was the most straightforward person ever. Vince would just say whatever he had to say to get me out of the room and then do his sheisty carny s***, and I was like, ‘The f***?’ I just can’t work with anyone that isn’t straightforward.”
Ronda Rousey left WWE after her bout against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam back in 2023 and it’s apparent that she’ll never come back now. Regardless, Rousey really hated working with Vince McMahon and fans completely understand why.
