Roman Reigns has gone above and beyond for a young fan after a heartbreaking bullying video made the rounds online. Instead of simply sending his support, The Tribal Chief made sure the fan knew he had the entire WWE family behind him.
Back in December, Reigns quietly spent part of his holiday delivering pizzas to children at a local hospital without any fanfare. Now, he’s made another young fan’s day by responding after seeing a video that touched countless people online.
Autumn Collette shared an Instagram video explaining that about a month ago, a clip went viral showing KShawn, a young man with autism, being bullied by a group of children. During the video, KShawn could be heard saying, “I’m calling Roman Reigns.” As it turns out, Roman answered. In a personal video message, Reigns acknowledged what KShawn had been going through and reminded him that he wasn’t facing it alone.
“Some of the kids are bullying you; I just want you to know that all your friends here at WWE are with you. I know it can be tough. Life can be unfair sometimes; it really can, but I just want you to know that we are thinking about you.”
Roman then encouraged KShawn to keep believing in himself while letting him know WWE appreciates all of his support.
“Keep your head up; just know that you are the man. You are a good kid. And we know you mean the best, and we just want to reward you for all the support you send our way, and we want you to understand that we are supporting you as well.”
But Roman didn’t stop with the message. He also personally invited KShawn to an upcoming WWE event and made sure he would be receiving official WWE merchandise, giving him something positive to look forward to after such a difficult experience.
It’s a really cool gesture from Reigns. What started as a heartbreaking video of a young fan being bullied turned into a moment KShawn will probably remember for the rest of his life, thanks to one of his biggest heroes stepping up when it mattered.
