Rob Van Dam might be gearing up for a return to the WWE ring, and it’s all thanks to a recent confrontation with NXT star Wes Lee. The Hall of Famer had fans buzzing after a cryptic post on Twitter hinted that his issues with Lee are far from over.
RVD made a special appearance at the ECW-themed episode of WWE NXT on November 6, joining fellow ECW alumni at the iconic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. While some veterans like Bubba Ray Dudley and Nunzio stepped into the ring, RVD’s role was non-physical—at least, that was the plan.
Things took a dramatic turn when Wes Lee, former NXT North American Champion, ambushed RVD with a chair before his ringside appearance for Je’Von Evans’ match. The chair shot left fans stunned, but RVD wasn’t out for long. He quickly rebounded and lent a helping hand to Evans, aiding him to secure the victory despite Lee’s surprise attack.
Fast forward over a week, and RVD took to Twitter to send a clear message about his intentions. Responding to a clip of the chair attack, RVD kept it simple and direct: “I’ll get him back.”
The tweet has sparked speculation among fans that RVD might be preparing for an in-ring return to exact revenge on Lee. While RVD has dropped hints about getting back into action since his NXT appearance, there’s no official word yet on whether WWE plans to bring him back for a feud.
Could this be the start of a heated rivalry that sees RVD step back into the squared circle for payback? Only time will tell, but fans are already excited at the prospect of seeing the legend back in action.
