Road Dogg thinks Tony Khan is sleeping on Austin and Colten Gunn. In fact, he says the AEW World Tag Team Titles are already beneath them—and so is every other tag team in the company.
Road Dogg took to Twitter and made it clear that he believes The Gunns should be positioned considerably higher in AEW.
“Tag titles are beneath them at this point as is EVERY OTHER TEAM and I mean EVERY TEAM @AEW @TonyKhan I heard you didn’t sleep…… you’re sleeping on these boys #OUDK #SUCKIT #Nothing2lose”
That immediately got AEW fans talking. One fan suggested the “sickos” were misunderstanding what Road Dogg was actually saying and assumed he was arguing that Austin and Colten should move beyond the tag division entirely.
“Dude, the sickos are attacking! I don’t think they understand you are talking singles runs and bigger championships.”
Road Dogg wasn’t interested in walking anything back. Instead, he said those fans were “misled and misinformed” and doubled down on believing The Gunns have something considerably more important than simply being good wrestlers.
“Josh, the ‘sickos’ are misled and misinformed I do mean all that and then some! This is the entertainment business and what these two young men give you is THAT IN DROVES. They entertain all while ‘wrestling well’ as if that part matters at all.”
So Road Dogg isn’t simply asking Tony Khan to give The Gunns another tag title run. He believes Austin and Colten have already outgrown that level, considers them better than every other team in AEW and thinks the company is overlooking two performers who understand the entertainment side of professional wrestling.Tony Khan may famously say he doesn’t sleep much.
