Ricochet just gave Je’Von Evans a pretty big compliment — and it hits a lot differently when you remember these two were publicly tearing into each other just last year.
After Evans’ wild performance in the 2026 men’s Money In The Bank ladder match, Ricochet took to social media and made it clear that whatever bad blood existed between them before, he came away impressed. Ricochet kept the message short, but there was no mistaking where he stood after watching Evans go through absolute hell in the match.
“I’m honestly a Je’Von Evans fan 🔥”
That is a hell of a turnaround from where things were between them in 2025. Their issues exploded after Ricochet said he would “squash” Evans in a match, prompting Evans to fire back with one of the nastiest responses of the entire exchange. As Ringside News covered at the time, Evans took shots at Ricochet’s AEW move, Tony Khan and the size of the crowds Ricochet was wrestling in front of. Evans did not hold back.
“My Bad. I Just Got Done Training At The Performance Center, Under Shawn Michaels. Something That You Don’t Have Or Do BUT, I Bet Yo Brown Egg Head Ass Would Squash Me If Tony Told You To. Much Love OG. You Learned From HBK When I Was 12 And Became A Multiple Time Champion. Now, You’re Wrestling In Front Of 2,000 People, Every Week, For A Crackhead. Talk About An Upgrade Am I Right??”
That post was later deleted, but the damage had already been done and the back-and-forth quickly became a major talking point online. Ricochet eventually addressed the backlash and made it clear he was enjoying having the freedom to say what he wanted and show more of his personality after leaving WWE for AEW. The situation even pulled Booker T into the mix. The WWE Hall of Famer called Ricochet out over the exchange, arguing that someone in Ricochet’s position should be lifting up younger talent instead of getting dragged into public fights with them. Booker made his feelings on Evans clear.
“I just think, man, that’s where we are in the business to where we got to try to bring somebody down opposed to trying to lift somebody up. Because for me, if I see that young dude, Javon Evans, and what he’s doing, I don’t care. I don’t care who I am. I’m going to give him props because he’s freaking so good.”
Now Ricochet is doing exactly that. Evans had one of the most insane nights of anybody at Money In The Bank. He was blasted by Bron Breakker with a huge spear, taken out of the match in an ambulance, then came back in that same ambulance and jumped right back into the fight.
Things somehow got even crazier from there. Evans climbed a gigantic ladder in an attempt to win the Money In The Bank briefcase, only for Breakker to send him flying off the top and straight through the roof of the ambulance below.
That was apparently enough to turn an old rival into a fan. After all the insults, deleted tweets and public criticism surrounding their 2025 feud, Ricochet’s reaction this time was nothing but respect. There was no jab, no sarcasm and no attempt to reopen the old wound — just a straight-up admission that Evans had won him over.
That is what makes this one interesting. Their history gives Ricochet’s comment a lot more weight than a normal wrestler praising another wrestler after a big match. These two went from throwing personal shots at each other online to Ricochet openly calling himself a Je’Von Evans fan. One crazy Money In The Bank performance later, it looks like Je’Von Evans may have finally turned one of his loudest old critics into a believer.
What do you think about Ricochet giving Je’Von Evans props after their ugly history in 2025? Do you think their issues are completely dead now, or would you still want to see them settle it in the ring someday? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
