AEW Dynamite: Beach Break is set to deliver a stacked lineup tonight, but the action won’t stop when the show goes off the air.

AEW will tape Saturday’s episode of Collision immediately after Dynamite, and it will feature a special tribute to the late Steve “Mongo” McMichael, with Ric Flair set to appear.

Flair confirmed his plans to honor McMichael during the Collision taping in Chicago, IL, sharing an emotional message on social media.

“My favorite memory of Steve McMichael. Well, I really just don’t have one. I have a thousand great memories, and I could spend all day long talking about them. I’ll be in Chicago. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to speak at a service and I’ll give you some really favorite ones. But I just can tell you this — he was a great guy, and literally I coined this phrase. But to be the man, you gotta beat the man. And no one to this day will ever be the man that Steve McMichael was and always will be, even in heaven. God bless you, Steve,” Flair said.

McMichael, a former NFL star and WCW Horseman, was a close friend of Flair, and the tribute segment is expected to be a heartfelt moment on Collision. AEW has not officially announced the tribute, but with Flair in the building, it’s clear that McMichael’s legacy will be acknowledged in a big way.

While tonight’s AEW Dynamite is packed with major matches, including a Steel Cage AEW World Championship Match between Jon Moxley and Samoa Joe, fans will want to stick around for the Collision taping to see Flair’s tribute to his best friend.
