WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair didn’t hold back when it came to discussing Randy Orton’s current role in the company—and according to the Nature Boy, WWE isn’t doing enough with one of its most gifted stars.
During a recent appearance on Double Coverage, Flair praised Orton’s skill, physique, and overall presence, going so far as to call him the best male worker in WWE right now. But while Flair made it clear he has nothing but respect for Orton’s work, he also believes the 14-time world champion isn’t being booked to his full potential.
Flair compared the third-generation star to a modern-day Greek god, saying Orton has all the tools to be a leading man—yet WWE just isn’t pulling the trigger creatively.
“Randy Orton, I mean, he’s third generation. Randy is the best male worker in the company right now. They don’t utilize him the way I would if I was Booker, but I’m not. So… he can still work his ass off. But you know, he’s making a lot of money. He’s doing good. He’s happy. And that’s all that matters.”
Flair didn’t stop there. He made a point to acknowledge Orton’s dedication to staying in shape even without performance enhancers—something Flair sees as rare and impressive in today’s business.
“Randy—one of my favorites. I think he’s underutilized. Oh, look at his body. I mean, God, he’s off the gas and still looks great. He’s an Adonis. His symmetry is unreal.”
Even though Orton has returned from injury, Flair’s comments echo what many fans have felt for years—Randy Orton might still be capable of far more than he’s being asked to do.
Whether WWE decides to push Orton back into a main event spotlight or not, Flair’s words remind everyone that legends see something special in “The Viper” that still hasn’t been fully tapped.
