Hulk Hogan’s racist remarks have been a major topic of discussion after his passing and Ric Flair has now addressed Hogan’s negative reception.

While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Ric Flair was asked about the criticism Hulk Hogan is receiving for his past racist remarks following his passing. Flair said he expected the question and explained that 128 people had texted him, and not one of them said anything negative about Hogan.

The Nature Boy added that everyone has flaws and things happen that are out of their control, and whatever made people uncomfortable seemed to go right past Hulk Hogan.

Flair said he hates that the issue always gets brought up, but that’s just how social media works. He insisted Hogan was not like that and that he already paid the price and is still paying for it.

“No, I’ll be honest with you—I knew you were going to ask me this question. If 128 people text me and not one of them says anything negative, you know what I mean? Everyone has their flaws and things happen that we can’t control. Whatever it was that made someone uncomfortable, it just went right past him.

I hate that they always have to bring that up, but that’s just how social media works. Trust me—he was anything but that, and he paid the price. He’s paying badly.”

The Nature Boy ultimately defended his friend Hulk Hogan and made it clear that he doesn’t believe those remarks were an actual reflection of who Hogan was. Even then, he believes Hogan paid the price and is still paying for it and that might not change anytime soon.
