Ric Flair isn’t stepping back into the ring — but he might be stepping into a recording booth.

Just days after stirring conversation by revealing he’d been approached about a potential match with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton — only to later shut down any talk of wrestling again — The Nature Boy has now teased a completely different move. Music.

Flair took to X/Twitter and made the announcement himself, keeping it short and unmistakably on brand.

“New Album Dropping Soon! WOOOOO!”

That’s all he wrote. No release date. No title. No details. Just a tease. The 16-time World Champion continues to stay in headlines despite not actively competing. Even without taking bumps, Flair’s name never seems to stay out of the conversation for long.

And this isn’t totally out of nowhere. Flair has long had ties to hip-hop culture. In 2011, Killer Mike released a song titled “Ric Flair” on his album PL3DGE that incorporated archival clips of Flair promos. Years later, in 2017, Offset and Metro Boomin scored a major hit with “Ric Flair Drip,” with The Nature Boy appearing in the music video and fully embracing his influence on the rap world.

Now, instead of teasing a comeback match, he’s teasing a studio project. It’s important to note — Flair hasn’t actually released anything yet. He’s only announced that a new album is “dropping soon.” Whether that means original music, collaborations, spoken-word promo tracks, or something else entirely remains to be seen.

What do you think Flair’s album will sound like — and are you interested in hearing it? Sound off in the comments below and let us know.
