As seen on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, Michael Cole filled in for Tom Phillips on the commentary team. Cole mentioned that the reason Phillips was absent was because he was “on an assignment.”
It’s being said that the real reason Phillips was absent was because he got married over the weekend to his fiance and was given time off for his honeymoon. He is expected back for next week’s episode of SmackDown.
