Jinder Mahal (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura – WWE Championship
What a strange match. Shinsuke Nakamura, Japanese sensation faces WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, former member of 3MB, in Smackdown Live’s main event for Summerslam. As weird as this match is it does not promise much potential. While Nakamura is among the worlds elite in ring performers and probably the most charismatic guy in WWE, his hard hitting style of kicks and knees will likely not mesh well with the sub-par in ring ability of Jinder.
I am in agreement with many fans that Shinsuke’s first title win should come in a bigger match against a better opponent. Jinder simply is not on Nakamura’s level and has not did a good job as champion thus far. But, from an objective view it seems Nakamura is the safe bet to win this Sunday. Mahal just beat Randy Orton 3 times straight and thenb defeated Corbiin in his cash-in attempt. On the ther side of that Nakamura is undefeated one-on-one on the main roster and will likely remain that way until he meets AJ Styles or less likely John Cena or Kevin Owens.
