Tye Dillinger Becomes the United States Champion
This would be a twist that no one would see coming. As of now, Tye Dillinger isn’t even in the match for the United States Championship. However, it wouldn’t be too hard to insert him in the match and make it a Triple Threat. Even if they were to do this, everyone would think that he’s eating the pin. Betting on Tye Dillinger winning is like betting on Stephen Hawking winning a footrace. It simply isn’t happening.
But in a year where Jinder Mahal is the WWE Champion, you can’t ever really say never. In a year where the Hardy Boyz came back, you can never rule anything out. While it would be weird for Dillinger to pin either Baron Corbin or AJ Styles (or even both at the same time), it would be cool. It would add to the unpredictable nature of the United States Championship.
While playing Hot Potato with a championship can have negative side effects when done badly, a surprise win from an underdog every now and again is good for the audience.
