UFC fighter Michael Chandler isn’t just talking about WWE anymore. He’s actually at the WWE Performance Center right now.
According to False Finish, sources indicated that the UFC star was at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, immediately leading to questions about whether Chandler is finally getting a closer look at the wrestling career he’s been openly flirting with for years.
There’s no word yet on exactly what Chandler is doing at the Performance Center or whether he’s actually training inside the ring, so anything beyond his reported presence there would be speculation. But the timing is hard to ignore.
Chandler made it clear during an October 2025 interview with Chris Van Vliet that professional wrestling genuinely interests him once his fighting career winds down. He even revealed there had already been interest and curiosity on both sides.
“God created me for hand-to-hand combat, whether it’s on the wrestling mats or maybe one day in a WWE ring after fighting. Becoming a pro wrestler definitely intrigues me. It seems like a lot of fun, and I think I would enjoy it. There’s definitely interest and curiosity on both sides.”
He wasn’t talking about walking into WWE and immediately expecting a spot either. Chandler acknowledged that he’d have to prove he could actually handle everything that comes with being a WWE Superstar, from learning the ring to surviving the travel schedule.
“I’d have to go in there, prove my worth, and make them believe I could do it — enjoy it, handle the travel, the lifestyle of being a WWE Superstar, and get in the ring to beat some people up.”
Now he’s apparently made it to the place where WWE finds out exactly that. Chandler already got a taste of WWE when he appeared on RAW in 2024 and famously called out Conor McGregor from the crowd. Since then, he hasn’t exactly hidden his interest in eventually crossing over once he’s finished fighting.
Whether this Performance Center visit leads to anything remains to be seen. For now, there’s no WWE deal, debut plan or confirmation that Chandler is preparing for an in-ring run. But after spending years saying WWE “makes a lot of sense,” Michael Chandler walked through the doors of the WWE Performance Center. That’s certainly one way to make those comments more interesting.
