A claim about Paige having a wardrobe mishap on the June 26 episode of WWE SmackDown is already falling apart.
Sportskeeda claimed Paige had an issue with her top during her match against Jacy Jayne in London and said WWE somehow missed it in the edited broadcast. That sounds like a big deal, until you actually look at the footage. Nothing happened.
A frame-by-frame look at the match shows no exposure, no slip, and no real wardrobe malfunction. Paige may have adjusted her gear during the match, but that is not the same thing as a mishap. Wrestlers fix their gear all the time when they are taking bumps and moving around the ring.
The actual match saw Paige take on Jacy Jayne in front of a loud London crowd. Fatal Influence got involved, but Paige still picked up the win. That should have been the story. Instead, the match got dragged into a cheap wardrobe angle that does not hold up.
WWE taped the episode before it aired, but the idea that they missed some obvious moment in the final cut just does not match what is on screen. The footage is there, and it does not back up the claim.
This is the kind of story that gives wrestling coverage a bad look. Paige had a match, got the win, and the crowd was into it. There was no big wardrobe disaster, no missed edit, and no scandal hiding in the tape.
