The April 30 episode of AEW Dynamite went down at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The main event match of the night helped book a big AEW Double or Nothing contest.

This week’s AEW Dynamite saw the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament continue. The winner of this main event match determined who will face Will Ospreay at Double or Nothing in the finals of the tournament this year. Needless to say, Kyle Fletcher and Adam “Hangman” Page left it all in the ring.

Hangman received a nice reaction from fans in his home state. The two battled through a commercial break, as they got to continue in picture in picture. During the match, Fletcher took a bump to the barricade, and it cut up his back in a way we’ve never seen before. They took a gruesome close-up shot, and it wasn’t pretty.

The match continued, and it eventually spilled out side after Fletcher nailed a brainbuster on the apron. Then Hangman hit a moonsault into a tombstone on the mat outside before they cut to another commercial break. When they returned, some fans in the building were chanting “fight forever.”

Hangman Page nailed a Dead Eye, but Kyle Fletcher kicked out. That near fall went down just as the show went into its overrun. Fletcher returned with a powerbomb for another near fall. Then Hangman went for a Buckshot Lariat, but Fletcher hit a low blow and a brainbuster for another close call. In the end, Hangman Page nailed two Buck Shot Lariats and won the match to claim that match against Will Ospreay on May 25.

The 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament has continued across several AEW events. In the men’s quarterfinals, Will Ospreay defeated Kevin Knight at Dynasty on April 6. Konosuke Takeshita defeated Brody King on the April 12 episode of Collision. Kyle Fletcher defeated Mark Briscoe, and “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Josh Alexander on the April 16 Dynamite: Spring BreakThru.

Later that same night, Will Ospreay advanced to the final by defeating Konosuke Takeshita in a semifinal match. The other semifinal between Kyle Fletcher and Adam Page was set for the April 30 episode of Dynamite. The final will take place at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2025.

We will have to see what happens next. Double or Nothing will be a big night for the company, and we’re about to find out who will battle at the pay-per-view event at this point.
