Miro made a big impact when he joined AEW in 2020, winning the TNT Championship early on. However, after being off TV for a long time, he finally parted ways with the company this week.
AEW World’s End in 2023 witnessed Miro earned a big win over Andrade El Idolo after CJ Perry betrayed Andrade during the match. Despite this huge victory, Miro disappeared from AEW television and this left fans unsure about his status and future with the company.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Miro and CJ Perry believed they would be paired together on-screen after World’s End 2023 and receive a major push as a top act in AEW. Of course, that never happened in the end and fans remain disappointed about that fact.
As previously reported, creative differences between Miro and AEW led to his request for a release and he was finally granted the same this week. It is also to be noted that CJ Perry parted ways with AEW last year and since then fans have wondered if they would be reuniting again in the future.
To make matters even more interesting, CJ Perry dropped a big hint that Miro could be making his way back to WWE following his AEW departure. In addition to that, it was also reported WWE Creative expect Miro to make his return soon enough. Therefore, we’ll have to see if he can find success in WWE this time around.
