TNA isn’t wasting any time putting its new champions in the spotlight. The company revealed that Nic and Ryan Nemeth will open the August 27 episode of TNA iMPACT after capturing the TNA World Tag Team Championships.
TNA confirmed the opening segment during a video rundown for tonight’s show. The Nemeths are coming in with championship gold and will get the first word when the live broadcast begins from the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.
Nic and Ryan defeated The Hardys at TNA Lockdown to become the new champions. Now they will walk into iMPACT with the entire tag team division watching to see what they do next. TNA has not revealed whether the segment will be a championship celebration, a promo or the start of their first title feud. The only thing confirmed is that the new champions will kick off the show.
Tonight’s lineup also includes Jada Stone against M by Elegance in the tournament final to crown the first TNA Knockouts Television Champion. Indi Hartwell will be in action, while Elijah faces Bear Bronson.
The Nemeths didn’t have to wait long for their first major moment as champions. Nic and Ryan will open TNA iMPACT with the belts in their hands, and there is no telling who might interrupt them.
