There was a lot of concern over Octagón Jr’s status for the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event after he potentially suffered an injury at a recent AAA show. While speculation still runs rampant, his status for the show has been revealed.

Doctor Odiseo took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself talking about Octagón Jr. potentially getting injured. He revealed that the AAA wrestler is completely fine and is ready to compete at Worlds Collide, saying, “We love you @octagonjraaa glad you’re okay. Ready for WORLDS COLLIDE !”

One fan directly asked the doctor whether Octagón Jr. will be at the Worlds Collide event, saying, “So will he be at worlds collide?” The doctor confirmed that to be the case, as he said, “Yes.🙌”

The incident happened at the Showcenter Complex in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, during a triple threat tag team match for the AAA World Tag Team Championships. Los Garza teamed with Octagón Jr. and Laredo Kid to challenge the champions, Pagano and Psycho Clown, along with another team.

Pagano and Psycho Clown kept their titles after Pagano hit a Guillotine from the top rope on Octagón Jr. But the move went wrong, as Pagano landed on Octagón’s head, leaving him motionless.

Referees quickly rushed to check on him and gave the “X” sign, showing it was a real injury. Octagón Jr. couldn’t leave the ring on his own, which raised serious concerns about whether he would be able to compete at Worlds Collide since many feared he was concussed.

Thankfully, Octagón Jr. is cleared to compete at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide Event in Las Vegas, where he is scheduled to team with La Parka, Mascarita Sagrada, and Nino Hamburguesa in an eight-man “Lucha Showcase” tag match against Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado, and Mini Abismo Negro. So we’ll have to see which team will end up winning in the end.
