Nyla Rose wasn’t remotely bothered when a transphobic fan came after her appearance. Instead of getting defensive, the former AEW Women’s Champion turned the insult straight back around on the person hiding behind an anime profile picture.
The exchange happened on August 22, when a fan took to Twitter and targeted Rose with a comment about her appearance and hairline.
“You still look like a man, especially with that hair line sir”
Rose saw it, and sarcasm came first. She mocked the idea that pointing out something about her appearance was somehow going to hurt her feelings before making it clear she’s perfectly comfortable with how she looks.
“Oh nooooo you’ve hurt my feelings and made me soooooooooooo sad by saying things that are completely obvious to literally anyone who isn’t vision impaired…”
Then she turned her attention to the person behind the account. While Rose had no problem owning her appearance publicly, she pointed out that the fan throwing insults at her wasn’t even showing their own face.
“only difference is I’m comfortable and confident enough to rock with it while you hide behind a anime picture because you’re a coward and can never live up to being the man you wish you were 🤭 tee hee”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Rose has dealt with this kind of attack online. Back in 2024, another fan attempted to mock her transgender identity by posting an old photograph from before her transition after AEW referred to her as a women’s wrestler. Rose responded then too, questioning whether the picture was supposed to be a “gotcha” and declaring that she looked good both before and after transitioning.
Rose has been largely absent from AEW television for quite some time, with her last televised match coming on Rampage in November 2024. She has continued wrestling elsewhere during that absence, while reports have indicated that even some people within AEW weren’t sure why she had been kept off television for so long.
Whatever is happening with Rose’s wrestling future, she’s clearly not letting random social media attacks shake her confidence. This fan tried to embarrass her over her appearance and ended up getting roasted for hiding their own behind an anime picture.
