WWE has filed a brand-new trademark that may signal the arrival of a fresh Superstar—and speculation is heating up about who it’s for.

On November 3, 2025, WWE officially filed to trademark the name “Skylar Raye.” While the identity behind the name hasn’t been confirmed, there’s growing talk that it could be tied to Dani Sekelsky, the recent Season 2 winner of WWE LFG.

Sekelsky scored a huge win in the October 28 season finale of WWE LFG, submitting Penina Tuilaepa with The Undertaker’s Hell’s Gate submission. The win secured Sekelsky a contract with WWE NXT, hand-selected by Shawn Michaels himself. Though she previously appeared on NXT TV back in April 2025, she has yet to make her in-ring debut.

The timing of the Skylar Raye trademark has led many to believe this is the ring name Sekelsky will use moving forward in WWE. Like other WWE filings, the legal language is broad but specific to wrestling:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network…”

WWE has made several similar moves this year, including filing the name PJ Vasa for WWE LFG standout P-Nasty. This structured rollout suggests Skylar Raye may be heading to NXT or even Evolve sooner than later.

If this is indeed Dani Sekelsky’s new identity, she’s about to enter the next chapter of her career fully rebranded, with WWE backing her as one of the company’s top developmental prospects.
