Rumors have been floating around that Netflix isn’t happy with its WWE partnership, but there doesn’t appear to be much behind them. Despite the massive money involved in the deal, there’s currently nothing suggesting Netflix is looking at WWE with buyer’s remorse.
During an August 24 Q&A session, TC directly pushed back on the recent speculation that Netflix has been unhappy with its WWE partnership, arguing that the money being spent on the deal shouldn’t be confused with the streaming giant being dissatisfied with what it is getting in return.
“I would push back that Netflix isn’t happy with their partnership with WWE. Do they spend a lot of money? Yes, but they have a lot of money.”
There’s also more to the relationship than Netflix simply paying WWE to put RAW on its platform. TC pointed out that WWE has been actively incorporating Netflix stars and properties into its own programming.
“WWE has done a good job incorporating the Netflix stars into their programming and doing a lot of things that Netflix wants to happen, like Stranger Things on Raw, which was from Netflix.”
JoeyVotes was then asked whether he had heard anything himself about Netflix being unhappy with WWE: “I haven’t heard it.” So it’s clear there is no truth to any of these whatsoever.
RAW has been on Netflix since January 2025 as part of WWE’s long-term agreement with the streaming service. The partnership has also resulted in WWE regularly promoting Netflix properties and personalities across its programming.
For now, the claims that Netflix is unhappy with WWE remain exactly that—claims. WrestleVotes isn’t hearing anything to support them, and WWE continues doing the kind of cross-promotion Netflix apparently wants from the partnership.
