Nattie’s TripleMania appearance came with a painful price. Nearly two weeks after stepping into the ring with Faby Apache, the WWE veteran has revealed she ended up needing major dental work—and she wasn’t about to miss training because of it.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Nattie revealed she underwent dental surgery after her match at AAA TripleMania 34 Night One. According to her, the damage was serious enough that she needed work done on her two front teeth, along with dental implants and 20 stitches in her mouth.
“Last week at the Dungeon, I went to the Dungeon with 20 stitches in my mouth. I had dental surgery earlier in the day. Something happened to me—I had to go get my two front teeth fixed. Because, you know, Faby Apache hits really hard.”
Nattie then explained just how extensive the procedure actually was. She said the surgery involved implants being placed into the bone, making it much more involved than simply repairing a chipped tooth.
“I had to get dental surgery on the front of my mouth. I had 20 stitches in the front of my mouth and two dental implants. So when they put in dental implants, there’s metal that goes up into the bone. It’s a very elaborate surgery.”
Despite everything, Nattie wasn’t sidelined for long. She revealed she was medically cleared to keep wrestling and said she’s already feeling fine following the procedure.
“I got it handled. I’m good. I actually got cleared to work. It’s fine.”
The injury stems from Nattie’s appearance at AAA TripleMania 34 Night One, where she competed against Roxanne Perez, Faby Apache, and La Hiedra in a Fatal 4-Way to determine the No. 1 contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. Perez ultimately won the match after connecting with Pop Rox on La Hiedra, but it turns out Nattie left the event with more than just a loss.
Wrestlers pick up bumps and bruises every week, but needing dental implants is a whole different level. Thankfully, Nattie says she’s already been cleared to compete again, so the surgery won’t keep her out of action.
