Natalya wants “Total Divas” back on television, and she isn’t alone. The WWE veteran revealed that she and The Bella Twins have been pushing hard behind the scenes to revive the reality series.
Speaking on TMZ’s “Inside the Ring,” Natalya made it clear that the three women haven’t quietly moved on from the show.
“The Bella Twins and myself, we have been advocating, pushing, fighting, scratching, clawing and wanting to bring back ‘Total Divas’ more than anyone.”
Natalya believes the show’s impact can still be seen throughout WWE’s women’s division. She pointed to stars such as Tiffany Stratton, Maxxine Dupri, Chelsea Green and Bianca Belair while explaining how many women were inspired to pursue wrestling after watching the series.
“You look at women like Tiffany, Maxxine, Chelsea and Bianca. I meet so many women at the Performance Center who tell me they watched us on ‘Total Divas,’ and that’s why they wanted to do this. Bianca is one of them—Bianca Belair.”
“You think about how iconic Bianca is and think that she may never have wanted to do this had she not fallen in love with it. She watched these girls on ‘Total Divas,’ and then Mark Henry scouted her. I love hearing about girls who were inspired by the show.”
That influence is one reason Natalya and The Bella Twins have refused to let the idea die.
“Myself and The Bella Twins, we very much, very actively are fighting to bring it back.”
Any revival would need WWE’s approval, but Natalya believes company executives are more willing than ever to listen. She specifically named Nick Khan as someone they can approach with ideas and receive an honest response.
“I truly believe this: The company is more open to suggestions than ever before. It is very, very cool to be able to say to upper management, like Nick Khan, for example, ‘Hey, we’ve got an idea.’”
“To be able to collaborate with somebody at such a high level, where you can say, ‘Nick, I was thinking about this. What do you think about it?’ Nick will actually take the time for us to explain, ‘This is how it could work, and this is why it might not work.’”
Natalya knows she and The Bella Twins cannot make the decision themselves, but nobody needs to question how badly they want another season.
“Of course, we can’t do ‘Total Divas’ without the blessing of WWE, but damn, we want it back. We want it back as much as anyone.”
There is no official word that WWE has approved a “Total Divas” revival, but Natalya and The Bella Twins are clearly doing everything they can to get the conversation moving again.
