Natalya probably wasn’t expecting one of her most infamous backstage habits to become the topic of conversation.
But the second she sat down with Brandi Rhodes on A Shot of Brandi, there was no escaping it. While the two reminisced about their years together in WWE, Brandi suddenly burst out laughing and brought up something she says everyone in the women’s locker room remembers about Natalya.
She was always naked. Not changing for a match. Not getting dressed after one. Just… standing there completely unclothed like it was the most normal thing in the world.
“When I was in the locker room with you back—this is so long ago—back in the day… you were always naked. Are you always naked? When she was being naked, this is what she would do. I’m telling you, she would have her phone, be totally naked, cross her leg like this and stand like that. So it was like f**ing with everybody.”
Natalya immediately started laughing, convinced Brandi was talking about her taking selfies. She wasn’t. Brandi said Natalya would simply stand there reading something on her phone as if nobody else in the room found the situation even slightly unusual.
“No, she was like reading something. But it was like f**ing with everybody just to be like, ‘My physique is so great. Just look at it.'”
Instead of denying it, Natalya made the story even better. The WWE veteran suddenly remembered coaching Eve Torres through a match one day and demonstrating forearm strikes before realizing she hadn’t put any clothes on.
“I do remember going over forearms with Eve Torres naked…”
Brandi couldn’t stop laughing, quickly pointing out that Natalya at least made an effort to cover herself: “But she would cover everything that needed to be covered.” That still didn’t answer the obvious question. Brandi remembered asking why Natalya didn’t just throw on a pair of underwear before walking around the locker room. Natalya admitted she never really gave it much thought.
“Listen, I think it was because why I probably was naked in the locker room is because if you’re built in the front and stacked in the back, you may as well just let it all hang out.”
She then finished the Eve Torres story, explaining that she became so focused on showing Eve how to throw proper forearms that she completely forgot she was still naked.
“Poor Eve Torres. I was going over a match with her once and I was trying to correct her on some forearms. I was like, ‘You’ve got to throw your hips into it. Every kind of sport, it’s all coming from the—’And Eve’s like, ‘Natty, put something on!'”.
Judging by Brandi’s reaction, it wasn’t an isolated incident either. Years later, one of the first things she still associates with sharing a WWE locker room with Natalya isn’t a match or a championship—it was the fact that Natalya somehow made standing around completely naked look like part of her daily routine.
