Mustafa Ali’s second run as TNA International Champion has already hit a painful roadblock. During the August 27, 2026 episode of TNA iMPACT, the company announced that Ali is out of action after suffering a punctured lung.

The injury was revealed during the show’s Injury Report segment. Ali suffered the punctured lung at TNA Lockdown, where he defeated Jason Hotch to become a two-time International Champion.

Ali was scheduled to team with Agent Zero against Hotch and Trey Miguel on Thursday Night iMPACT. However, Order 4 member John Skyler was forced to step in and replace the injured champion. The timing could not be much worse for Ali. He just regained the International Championship, and there is no word on how long the injury will keep him out of the ring.

TNA will hold another round of television tapings in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, on August 28, but Ali’s immediate future is now up in the air while he recovers.

How long do you think Mustafa Ali will be sidelined, and what should TNA do with the International Championship while he is out? Let us know what you think in the comments.
