Adam Pearce just loaded up Monday Night RAW with two more matches, including a surprise Intercontinental Championship defense.
The RAW General Manager posted a video on Instagram Sunday from Buffalo, New York, announcing that Chad Gable will defend the Intercontinental Championship against WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on the August 17 episode of RAW.
“Chad Gable will put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against the Hall of Famer and the greatest luchador of all time, Rey Mysterio. That’s right. It’s Gable versus Rey live tomorrow night in Buffalo.”
Pearce also announced Sol Ruca versus Lyra Valkyria, while confirming that the tournament to determine Roman Reigns’ next World Heavyweight Championship challenger will continue with two first-round matches.
Dragon Lee will face El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., while Rey Fenix goes one-on-one with El Fiscal. Roman Reigns will also be in the building as WWE continues building toward his next World Heavyweight Championship defense in Mexico City.
Pearce also teased the fallout from last week involving Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa, asking what happens when Jey delivers Solo to the Tribal Chief.

WWE just gave Buffalo a much stronger card, with Gable versus Mysterio adding a title match on top of two tournament bouts and Roman Reigns’ latest appearance. RAW airs live from Buffalo, New York, at 8:00 PM ET on Netflix. Ringside News will have live coverage.
