Moose has seen enough of the conversation surrounding TNA Bound for Glory ticket sales, and he thinks critics are moving the goalposts.

A few weeks ago, fans were piling on TNA after WrestleTix reported that only 756 tickets had been distributed for the October 11 pay-per-view in Tampa. At the time, the card had barely been announced and the company hadn’t really kicked its marketing into gear.

Fast forward to this week, and the picture looks very different. According to the latest WrestleTix update, 2,203 tickets have now been distributed for the show after TNA rolled out more matches, media appearances and promotion.

Instead of celebrating the jump, though, some fans claimed the increase must have come from complimentary tickets. Since WrestleTix tracks tickets distributed rather than only paid tickets, the total includes any comps that may have been issued, although there’s no public breakdown showing how many—if any—were free.

That’s where Moose stepped in on Twitter. Moose’s point was simple. When the numbers were low, people said TNA couldn’t sell tickets. Once the company started promoting the show and the numbers climbed, some of those same people switched to saying the tickets must have been given away.

“It’s hilarious when TNA only has 700 tiks sold with only 1 match announced and no marketing done, we’re awful. But as soon as we start doing heavy marketing media tours and make match announcements and sell 2000+ tickets and add more seats. We are handing out free tickets.”

Whether any complimentary tickets were distributed isn’t publicly known, but Moose clearly isn’t buying the idea that TNA can’t get credit for improving its numbers after actually promoting the event.

With Bound for Glory just over a week away, TNA will soon find out what the final attendance looks like. In the meantime, Moose seems more interested in calling out what he sees as a double standard than worrying about the online criticism.

What do you think of Moose’s response? Are fans being too hard on TNA, or is the debate over Bound for Glory’s ticket sales fair? Let us know in the comments below.
