The New York Knicks finally won the NBA Championship, but MJF is not joining the celebration.

The Knicks ended their 53-year title drought after beating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals. The win came after Danhausen became part of the team’s playoff story by “uncursing” them, giving the whole championship run a strange pro wrestling twist.

Now, AEW star MJF has weighed in, and he took the most MJF approach possible MJF jumped on Twitter after the Knicks’ big win and compared their championship drought to how quickly he got his title back.

“Took the Knicks 53 years to win their championship back. Took me 8 weeks. Why are we celebrating these dorks?”

The comment comes as WWE is already looking to cash in on Danhausen’s Knicks connection. WWE has released Danhausen x New York Knicks championship merchandise, and there have been talks about using Danhausen at Madison Square Garden for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The Knicks winning the NBA Championship was a huge moment for New York, especially after more than five decades without a title. Still, MJF clearly was not going to let the city celebrate without taking a shot.

With Danhausen claiming credit for “uncursing” the Knicks and MJF now mocking the celebration, the Knicks’ title win has turned into a full-on wrestling crossover moment.
