MJF took time off in order to heal from several injuries following the 2023 AEW Worlds End event. During his absence, the Salt of The Earth was also contemplating shoulder surgery, but there was no confirmation where he actually got it. In fact, MJF has now refused to reveal whether he went under the knife.

While speaking on the SI Media Podcast with Jimmy Traina, the host claimed that MJF had undergone shoulder surgery after December 2023. However, when asked about whether he underwent surgery, the Salt of the Earth cited HIPAA violations as his reason not to answer that question, saying, “I hurt my shoulder. Did I have surgery? I’m not, what do they call it, HIPAA violations? You really shouldn’t ask me questions like that.”

The former AEW World Champion didn’t just stop there, as he stated that his shoulder is fine now. He also took a shot at the AEW roster, claiming that when he takes his shirt off, he is the most in-shape wrestler in the company, something that’s not hard for him at all, saying, “When I take my shirt off, I am the most in-shape professional wrestler in my company—not that that’s hard.”

MJF made his highly anticipated return at AEW Double or Nothing last year, and since then, he has been a regular feature on AEW television, engaging in solid feuds with the likes of Will Ospreay and others.

At the moment, the Salt of the Earth is more focused on his upcoming match against Adam Page at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on March 9th. Therefore, we’ll have to see how he will fare in the bout, as it’s evident MJF won’t reveal whether he had shoulder surgery.

Do you think MJF really had surgery, or is he just playing mind games? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
