Sarath Ton has a huge new chapter coming, and this one has absolutely nothing to do with designing wrestling gear. Mercedes Moné’s ex-husband revealed that he and his wife, Miranda Ton, are expecting a baby girl — less than a year after the couple tied the knot.
Ton, who wrestling fans may also remember as Mikaze, dropped the news on Instagram with a photo of himself alongside a visibly pregnant Miranda. He didn’t need some giant announcement either, because one short line got the job done.
“Girl dad @mirandaknesovich.”
For fans who have followed Ton for years, there’s obviously a lot of history attached to his name. Before becoming one of WWE’s trusted costume designers, Ton wrestled as Mikaze, but his relationship with Mercedes Moné — then Sasha Banks — eventually became the part of his personal life wrestling fans knew most about.
Ton and Moné first met in 2010 while they were both working in wrestling, and his work designing gear helped bring them closer. They eventually married on August 4, 2016, with Ton going on to create some of the most recognizable gear Moné wore during her WWE career. Ringside News later obtained the court documentation when Moné filed for divorce from Ton in July 2024.
The wild part was that their marriage had actually been over behind closed doors for years before fans knew anything about it. Moné later revealed that she and Ton separated at the end of December 2020 and that he moved out the following month, meaning they kept their breakup quiet for more than three years before the divorce became public.
Moné explained that part of the secrecy came from everything happening around her WWE career at the time. She was shooting The Mandalorian, chasing a WrestleMania main event and dealing with Vince McMahon’s creative plans involving Carmella and Reggie, so she and Ton decided they didn’t want their real-life split becoming another variable WWE could potentially use or change on television. Despite the breakup, Moné made it clear there was no war between them and spoke highly of Ton after the divorce became public.
Both eventually moved on in a big way. Ton married Miranda Knesovich on October 29, 2025, after the two had been together for roughly three years, with Ringside News covering Ton’s wedding and emotional message to his new wife.
Mercedes found another wrestling romance of her own. After initially sparking speculation with The Beast Mortos, Moné eventually confirmed that she was dating the masked AEW star, and the two later celebrated the anniversary of their first date.
Now Ton and Miranda are taking their relationship into completely new territory. The former WWE wrestler turned costume designer went from quietly rebuilding his personal life after a years-long separation and divorce to getting remarried — and now he’s preparing to become a girl dad.
