The wrestling community is mourning the loss of Jose “Jacobs” Trujillo. Maryland Championship Wrestling announced that Trujillo has passed away at just 30 years old.
MCW Pro Wrestling shared the news, remembering Trujillo as someone whose time with the promotion may have been brief, but who still became part of its locker room and the larger wrestling community. The promotion did not disclose a cause of death in its announcement. MCW paid tribute to Trujillo while also emphasizing the person behind the wrestler and the family and friends now grieving his loss.
“MCW Pro Wrestling is saddened to learn of the passing of Jose ‘Jacobs’ Trujillo.
Jose’s time with MCW was brief, but he was part of our locker room and part of the wrestling community we all share.
Beyond the character and the matches was a young man with family, friends, and people who cared deeply about him. 30 years old is far too young.
Our thoughts are with Jose’s family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him.

Trujillo’s passing at such a young age has left another wrestling locker room dealing with an incredibly painful loss. Even though his run with MCW was short, the promotion made it clear that he was still considered one of their own and someone whose loss is being felt by the people who shared that space with him.
